Power Being Left On At Former Hotel Empty Power Being Left On At Former Hotel

Islanders still living at St Martin's residential have been told their water and power supplies won't be cut off.

Some people say they're staying there because they've got no where else
to go.

The former hotel was supposed to close fully on Wednesday, after being
run as a lodging house in recent years.

A handful of tenants are staying put - because they can't afford to live
anywhere else - but they were told all power and water supplies were
being turned off.

The Housing Department has stepped in and spoken to the hotels owners,
and the two have agreed the supplies will be left on until all the
tenants can find suitable homes
