What's the future for Beau Sejour & Footes Lane?
It is being considered that Beau Sejour and Footes Lane could be run by a private operator.
Culture and Leisure board members want to save money by signing a 10 year contract with a specialised company.
Both Beau Sejour and Footes Lane will however continue to be run for the benefit of the local community.
The majority of prices will continue to be controlled by the States.
The Policy Council has backed the proposal fully.
The next step is presenting it to the States

They could use it for the cinema that folks are shouting about .but if it goes private ,it will cost to get in to have a cuppa . but the benifit will be people will not just drop off their kids outside to go in and use the place free for the day as a baby sitting service . there are kids with out adults running around all over the place .

Re: What's the future for Beau Sejour & Footes Lane?
years ago you had to pay to get into the place . for anywhere . even to use the shop. this stopped when they took the turnstile things away
i dont like the new set up .the viewing in the pool area is too open,
i have seen adults with special needs going into the pool . as you know they do not care what bits they show off,
this i feel is degrading for them . and they are not on show, i think the blinds are now shut for them now, as were the viewing area is this is the worst part to put in as it shows folks trying to get in and out of the pool . there is no dignity here .
It is also so close to the children pool , giving any pervert the view of our children . they can sit and watch. them . i might be too protective but i feel the needs of the vulnerable and children should come first!
I have been told the blinds can be pulled if need be , i ma not sure if they do this now when the special needs people go in , but i will ask .
The need to be more sensitive to all needs.

Glad i am not the only one .i know most mums like it so they can watch their little one swim ,but i like to watch and i would go in the viewing gallery upstairs .
And the cafe is not as good as it used to be , we used to be able to buy a proper meal there . but the staff are always nice and polite .
