Old fisherman's cottage vandalised
An old fisherman's cottage which was recently restored by the parish of St Helier has been vandalised.
Roof tiles of the property on Mount Bingham were smashed and the front door was damaged. The gate to the cottage was removed from its hinges and thrown over the seaside rails.
The damage, now repaired, happened on Thursday evening and there is a police appeal for witnesses.
The building, which overlooks Havre des Pas, dates from the early 18th century.
After a year-long restoration project, the cottage was officially opened last September as a holiday home.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the police or Crime Stoppers.
