Branchage Boot Camp: For 16-25 Year Olds In Jersey and Guernsey
The other competition in addition to the Islanders Film Award is the Branchage Boot Camp.
The idea behind the Bootcamp is to help young people (aged 16-25) from the Channel Islands to make a selection of short films that will be screened at the festival and shown on Channel TV's website plus other film festivals and digital platforms like satellite TV and the Internet over the next year.
For a chance to take part in Branchage Bootcamp all you need to do is tell the team in around 350-500 words what it's like to be a young person in the Channel Islands, your hopes and dreams for the future and what you really want to let everyone know about. You can find out more about the competition and the prizes, plus upload your entry on the Branchage Bootcamp Website. The closing date is 31st July 2008.... :D
The Bootcamp is brought to you by television and film industry professionals and supported by Channel Television. Elliott Cranmer and Adam Mattison-Ward from Shootmedia are on the team. Both individuals work in London and have a great track record in broadcast media, making short films and working with the likes of Channel 4. Jersey filmmaker Rebecca Coley is also on board. Rebecca recently premiered her debut feature film 'Imaginary Summer' and had her short film 'Jack Blond' screened at Cannes last month.

Hopefully you'll be happy to hear that the Bootcamp entry deadline has now been extended to the 17th AUGUST!
So if you didn't manage to finish your application, then go do it now, you have just over a week to perfect it... 8)
