Controversy over Alderney's campsite

Plans to spend a further £70,000 on a controversial campsite in Alderney have been sent to a scrutiny committee to analyze.

The States have already spent almost a quarter of a million pounds on building a shower and toilet block at Saye Campsite.

The Estates and Services Committee now want to build a wet weather room and a static home for the campsite manager.

The Finance Committee, which scrutinises proposed States expenditure, will meet to make its recommendation on March 18th.
