Crack Down On Small Car Parking
Guernsey Police are cracking down on larger cars parking in the small car spaces in town.
A number of notes have been left on vehicles this week.
The small car spaces on North Beach and the Crown Pier are for vehicles
under 3.6 metres in length which includes motors like a Fiat 500 but not
slightly larger sized models of the same car.
Notes have been left on windscreens advising motorists if their cars are
too big after complaints to the Environment Department about people
using the spaces when they shouldn't be.
Anyone found to be using the spaces incorrectly is liable to get a fixed
penalty notice.

Re: Crack Down On Small Car Parking
Pity they are not so zealous on inapproprite parking in disabled spaces, particularly Church Square.
And whilst I'm having a moan. Why are traders being allowed to clutter up Market Square with their 'orrible advertising boards.

Re: Crack Down On Small Car Parking
I have not seen advertising boards there for a while .. they are banned .but the market is not under the douziane laws as it is a private entity .until the whole market is used and all space is rented it stays with them .this is a part of our Guernsey we gave away .

They are there every day Kat, and back gardens are private but States still banned someone from having a skate ramp.
