Zavvi Goes Into Administration

Music, games and DVD retailer Zavvi - formerly known as Virgin Megastore - has gone into administration, endangering more than 3,000 jobs.

I hope the directors of all these firms are going to be prevented from holding management positions in the future. The mis-management of these failed stores just isn't acceptable, and it doesn't seem to be the upper levels of management that are going to be effected by their own job losses; at least not to the point of severe financial hardship felt by the hundreds of 'front line' staff.

The culture of running business with such high levels of risk will have an impact for decades to come, these management failures shouldn't be allowed to walk back into jobs in a few months when the dust settles.
