States of Guernsey: A Man's World?
Are the new States of Guernsey too male-dominated?
One woman candidate who wasn't elected is worried islanders missed a chance to bring more balance to the house.
There are 9 women deputies in current States and the new house will have only 8.
Gillian Tidd was one of 3 female candidates standing in Castel.
None of them made into the house.
She says it shows the island is stuck in its ways.(from Island FM)
Rubbish its down the the way candidates come across and if the woman cadidates cannot get thier point across its down to them not due to thier "sex"

Its down to numbers really if you look at the balance from women to men who put themselves forward that tells you the answer.
