Flytipping at La Mare is just rubbish, say residents
RUBBISH has again been leaving parents fearful to let their children outside on Les Genats Estate.
A new fence was built earlier this year by the Housing Department and this has stopped mass fly-tipping behind homes backing onto a field.
However, the problem has moved to the Heritage Walk, which runs past the La Mare de Carteret schools.
The stream has been filled with general rubbish, as well as a scooter, a metal bed and a rocking chair. More rubbish is hidden in the undergrowth.
The area is managed jointly by the Environment and Education Departments (from GEP)

fly tipping has become a big problem island wide since the scrapping of bulk refuse.
