How Sick...Thieves raid hospice site
Work on the new hospice for cancer sufferers in Guernsey has received a setback - thieves have stolen tools worth £2,500.
The theft happened between 5pm on Thursday and 7.30am on Saturday morning. Amongst the tools stolen are a DeWalt hammer drill, cordless drill and laser and a Bosch angle grinder. Also stolen were a small kango drill, an electric hand-saw, a jigsaw and several screwdrivers.
Tools have also been stolen from a building site at Fort George at some time between 5pm on Thursday and 8am Friday.
Police would like to hear from anyone offered any of the above described tools.

The tools will be owned by builders, not the hospice.
When there is a spate of these thefts, it is usually a UK builder going home at the end of a contract or licence period. Unfortunately no checks are carried out when they leave the island. Might turn up on eBay in a few weeks time.
Guernsey tools are popular as many are left out overnight and have no identification marks. About time the crime prevention officer (or whatever he is called this week) went around the sites advising of ways to prevent this.
