Health to explain position on medicinal cannabis

STATES Members have been called to a private briefing to outline the Health Department’s stance on the use of medicinal cannabis.
Health Minister Andrew Green has invited politicians to the briefing after three Islanders wrote to the States asking to be allowed to use cannabis for medicinal purposes.
Under the current law, the Health Minister has the power to grant special licences permitting the possession and use of medicinal cannabis, but the department has previously been reluctant to support such a move
