Why Guernsey to close.

Well its a sad day,Why Guernsey is to close at the end of the year. Its been a big part of my life for 3 years,helped me through some lonely times and given me a right laugh with some of the humour from some of the members.

I made some fantastic friends on there,most who have migrated over to here,friends who I will never forget and will stay with me for life!

And of course,one friend literally will,because WG is where I met Jan. She is the love of my life and without WG I would never have met her,18 months later we're still together and loving each other more each day.

So,GD,look out for a big influx of members,perhaps even BB will join!!

Its sad to hear.......... I've made good friends on there...some will be special to me forever.....
We used to have soooo much fun .... I would log in daily to have a little banter with them all....and arrange many a night out....shame it didn't manage to hold on to the fun factor...

yes very sad i also made so many friends on there ,and knew so many by there real names ...an end of an era

sad to see whyg go .such a shame that the nasty brigade spoilt it for so many.

I think Andy T is right - I'm sure any will migrate over to this forum. If a much larger user base does form here, someone better open another box of Moderators!

Who knows WhyG may still keep going yet....

But in my opinion i think BB would be mad to give it to anyone else..

The Forum reached its peak and it would be sad to see what he created run into total chaos...he did run a tight ship the majority of the time...

If anyone wants to set a forum up they should go ahead and do it.... but not with BB's WhyG name........

I think you are right KK it was good at its peak but a few bad decisions made some of the main posters leave or just peak in now and again. I agree BB would be silly to let them keep the name . I like many spent hours on there ,it is sad but life goes on.

It has not been the same for the past 6 months so probably its the time to close it

I used to enjoy getting banned from it but it has been dead for the last 6 months!
