Royal visit-Do we need it?
Another Royal visit! In these straightened times and when the U.K. government is continually trying to distance itself from our"Tax Haven"I really don't want to waste money and time on the "Royal drones"and don't forget all that lifting of man-hole covers looking for bombs! :x

Ouch, loads of Republicans here. Times are hard that's why the roayla entourage are coming to the Islands and they are coming on Commodore roll on roll off to keep the cost down.

Re: Royal visit-Do we need it?
My personal opinion is ,i have never liked the royals and cant understand why the tax payer has to foot the bill , Ok if they want to come here let them pay for their trip all of it out of their own pockets ,lets face it they have an obscene amount of money.

The existance of the Royal family saved us from having to endure Cherie Blair swanning around as 'First Lady'. For which we are eternally grateful.

They're a bunch of parasites. Get rid of them all as soon as possible is my opinion, they're not relevant in today's society.

On the contrary, in today's society of corrupt and untrustworthy politictions they are more relevent than ever. They occupy a vacuum which otherwise the aforesaid cretins would eagerly fill, given the chance.

Nothing against the Queen or Duke. Charles and his sons also ok, i understand they do good work promoting the U.k.
But Mr & Mrs waste of space i can see no reason to get excited about them coming here, In fact i think I'd be more excited to see one of the Queen's corgis at least they have a purpose.

What vacuum would that be? The one where we pay exhorbitant amounts of money to keep a bunch of in-bred tossers in the manner to which they've become accustomed? It's precisely this type of subservient attitude that allows this farcical situation to continue. A few generations down the line it will be different though, they won't be there for too much longer thank Christ.
At least politicians are elected.

Can't argue with that, but look at the stuff up we make with the elections, perhaps having " a bunch of in-bred tossers" is better, at least they don't make the rules and they are consistent, and they cost us money but at least they don't make excuses which we can all see through.

Re: Royal visit-Do we need it?
I think the Royal Family do a good job for the UK, and they probably pay there way in behind the scenes deals that go on while ther are traveling the world, also the tourism that they encourage in London.
I sometime think the extremes they go to with sealing drains etc go a bit far epecially here, but its a sign of the times and you cant blame the royal family for all the crazies in the world that might want to blow them up.
I suppose when all the crowds stop greeting them and waving their flags thats the time we should wonder if they are not needed.

How many people do you think there will be waving their flags at these two Wayside? Care for a wager?
You've only got to look at the behaviour of old Horse Face, when the Bailiff went to give her a hand up after she slipped, to realise what a bunch of deluded in-breds these people really are.
They still shit like the rest of us don't they?

Re: Royal visit-Do we need it?
Im not bothered about the queen or royal family what i do find unusual is how thais respect their king as against the venom of the uk towards their monarchy
The King Of Thailand has awesome respect
I wonder why there is such a different outlook

Re: Royal visit-Do we need it?
In any society, human or animal, there is always a vacuum at the 'top of the pile' which someone will fill. In a Monarchy that is the non-political Monarch, in a Republic it is the head of the Government or a President.
You surely would not prefer someone like Tony and Cherie Blair, or any other of the cretinous mob who profess to be out elected representative, in place of the Queen.

Re: Royal visit-Do we need it?
Perhaps the King of Thailand has earned the respect he is given! (or would it be dangerous for the Thai people NOT to show respect) I respect the Queen as I did her mother and also Ann (I call a spade a spade) but you cannot respect the lesser royals who do nothing at all except leech on the country with their bodyguards even when they are on a p*** up!!! And Charles will earn respect if and when he can practice what he preaches......no gas guzzlers - no taking a plane where he could have gone by train etc etc etc etc.!!! not having a butler to zip up his trousers....one could go on at length......and his mother obviously knows his weaknessess otherwise she would hand over to him!! So when your mother doesn't respect you how can the people be expected to???

Re: Royal visit-Do we need it?
I would totally agree with your comments re. the so called 'minor' Royals. But that is not justification for ending the monarchy in it's entirety. Reform maybe, but not abolition.
Lets keep the greedy, lying, dis-honest, self-serving elected prats in their place as our paid servants.
