Island boat passengers increase
More visitors have been going to Jersey by boat - despite an overall fall in the number of people visiting the island.
According to Condor Ferries, the number of passengers arriving from the UK by boat has risen by 12% compared with the same period last year.
Visitors from elsewhere in the Channel Islands also went up by 13%.
Condor said it had worked with the Port of Jersey and visitor attractions to offer packages to day trippers.
Last month Jersey Tourism said visitor number were about 11% down on 2008. (from BBC)
