Concern over postal rubber bands

People living in Jersey are being asked to keep an eye out for red elastic bands discarded on the streets.
The bands are used to keep bundles of mail together but there are concerns that some of them are ending up on the ground rather than being re-used.
The concern follows reports in the UK of the bands littering the streets and posing a threat to wildlife.
Anyone who sees several of them on the ground is asked to contact Jersey Post and give them the location. (from BBC)

Well the same goes for Guernsey, you will always find rubber bands around our road..

there are hundreds by me as i live by the post office ...some kids use them to make these big elastic balls ..
