End of Saturday Postal Deliveries
So now we've lost Saturday deliveries - what next? And exactly how much is this saving? Are postmen losing out?Saturday is the only delivery day most people are in. And what about if your birthday etc is on a Saturday?

Re: End of Saturday Postal Deliveries
this will mean we will not get any shitty letters from places on a saturday that we cannot reply to straight away.. at least when we had then before we had two days to calm down lol
not bothered if there is not deliveries . but what happens when we have Good friday and Easter monday that is 4 days with out any post .
the postman will be heavily laden on the Tuesday 4.
if they want to save even m ore money they can turn the heating down in the post office and give staff a jumper to wear.and also turn the bloody light off earlier .
i live by envoy house the lights are on at 1045 when i go to bed .until early hours .then on again at 4am.. is there any need for this?

Re: End of Saturday Postal Deliveries
will posties be happy taking a cut in wages or are they going to be paid the same for a 5 day week than they are being paid for a 6 day week .maybe they should be employing less people at the top of the tree as that would save a fortune

Re: End of Saturday Postal Deliveries
... and now we know, £500,000 saved, half of that in salaries. So does that mean the posties will have a double sized sack of mail on Mondays, or will it take longer to deliver it all during the week?
