Guernsey Ladies Rugby Club ready to face Jersey again
Guernsey Ladies Rugby Club are positive about their chances when they take on Jersey United Banks Ladies on Saturday. Guernsey's women are looking to improve on their two previous performances against their rivals when the match kicks off at Footes Lane at 1300 GMT. Jersey won the previous two matches but the Guernsey side have shown a steady improvement in those games. Guernsey Captain Daisy Scott said: "The effort in training has been absolutely phenomenal." Guernsey Ladies are in their first season, after forming 12 months ago, and have recruited a number of players and raised the profile of ladies rugby in the island. They plan to launch sessions for ladies aged 12 to 18 to further increase take up of the sport. (from BBC) |
