Bleu Soleil Campsite owner David Bridges

A CAMPSITE owner has accused Jersey Tourism of ‘neglecting’ to promote camping to holidaymakers.
Bleu Soleil Campsite owner David Bridges said that, while he has had a good year so far, he feels as though campsites are regarded as ‘second-class citizens’ in the industry.
He thinks that Jersey Tourism should be more diverse in their marketing campaign to promote every aspect of the Island’s offering.
Jersey Tourism marketing manager Simon Le Huray said that all marketing opportunities were open to ‘the entire Jersey accommodation industry, from a five-star hotel to Jersey’s fine campsites’. He added that to date, however, campsites had not chosen to take up the marketing offers, which incur a charge. (from JEP)
