I'd have walked out says prison ombudsman
A record number of prisoners; a suicide; the governor resigning and a lack of funding.
Those are just some of the issues highlighted in Jersey's Prison Board of Governors' latest report.
The board say the island is responsible for providing a jail which meets standards established in other jurisdictions and is human rights compatible.
Their report says there's a long way to go.
They point out that the Prison and Probation ombudsman, Stephen Shaw, said he would have walked out of La Moye, if it was a UK prison, to immediately call the Secretary of State.
Jersey States Members need to sort this out!
