Planners challenged by Avant Garden
Avant Garden owner Nick Martel moved his marquee to Sausmarez Manor after he was forced to remove it from the Town Markets in 2007. (0455647)
PLANNERS’ refusal to allow a retail business to operate from a marquee at Sausmarez Manor will be challenged in the Royal Court.
Avant Garden has been trading from there since July 2007, but its retrospective planning application to do so has been refused.
Yesterday, Avant Garden gave notice in the Ordinary Division of the Royal Court that it would challenge the decision.
Advocate Paul Richardson, for the company, and Advocate Philip Nicol-Gent, for the Environment Department, agreed the case could be heard in a single day. (from GEP)
You cant dodge the law unless your the States department... ie Digital Banners...
