Driving test examiner shortage leads to delay

No practical driving tests will take place in Guernsey until 21 February due to a shortage of examiners.
The Environment Department said it relied on visiting UK examiners working alongside local staff, but had been unable to organise cover for this week.
It said the examiners usually visited on a monthly basis, but during periods of sickness or training the use of off-island examiners was higher.
The department would not comment on the current shortage of local examiners.
It said the waiting list for tests was about seven weeks, which was roughly the same as normal.

Thats a shame the off-island guys usually pass more..lol

Wow a waiting list to get onto our already filled up roads ,there should be a limit of who is allowed to drive
the roads are running out of space now ..

Wonder how much it costs the tax-payers to get these UK examiners over????
