Anger over ‘eyesore’ bales
POINTES Lane residents are unhappy about a rotting wooden barrier around the Island Waste depot boundary.
Neighbours of the waste sorting site believe the stacks of baled wood, which have been secured with wire to a steel fence, have been put there to block out noise from the facility.
They say the barrier is unattractive and ruins the character of the area.
Sheelagh and Brian Niles have lived at Pointes Lane for almost four years. They said they did not understand how Island Waste could be allowed to stack up the bales of scrap wood while other islanders, such as Little Cottage Day Care owner Kristina Le Page, were being forced to take down attractive fences.(from thisisguernsey)
Well if your face fits, I think is the answer to this one...
