Dear All,

The weather has been so kind to us all. Dare we look forward to a summer that basks us in sunshine right through until October - we're certainly hoping so, but also hoping that we receive some rain during the night so that our gardens remain green and healthy.

Whilst the weather is so good, why not plan ahead with a group of family and friends and enjoy lunch or dinner at either the Mermaid Tavern or the White House Hotel. The Mermaid offers the fabulous Black Rock Grill restaurant, or alternatively a lively barbecue area for larger groups. You can call them on 01481 750050, or E mail Mermaid@herm.com. The White House offers either first class one rosette dining in its Conservatory restaurant or a fabulous three course carvery meal in the Captains Table during the evenings. Call them on 01481 750075 or E mail hotel@herm.com to find out more.

Camping has never been better than it is on Herm at the moment! The tents are up, and awaiting your arrival, or you are able to bring your own to pitch on our site. Please bear in mind that the strict rules that we apply ensure that the site remains peaceful and welcoming for everyone. For further information, please contact the reservations office on 01481 750000, or E mail reservations@herm.com.

From time to time, we post special offers onto our website. We currently have several running at the moment for the White House Hotel, and for our Holiday Cottages. These cover May and June, and also some for September. Follow this link for more details: http://bit.ly/hermspecialoffers

Following its winter refurbishment, St Tugual's Chapel will be rededicated on Saturday 21st May by the Very Reverend Paul Mellor, Dean of Guernsey. The service will take the form of Eucharist, will be open for all, and will begin at 11.30am.

From 20th to 22nd May, the Mermaid Tavern will be hosting the first Herm Island Real Ale and Cider Festival. There will be no admission fee, but you will be able to buy an Exclusive Herm Island Festival Glass, and taste from the range of up to 30 Ales and Ciders including many Channel Island Ales. There will be evening entertainment in the form of folk group the "Barleydogs" on the 20th, and Morris dancers "Belles and Broomsticks" on the 21st. Reservations must be made for the evening boat and dining on each day, but the festival opens at midday each day for those that would like to arrive and sample at their leisure. For further details, please call the Mermaid Tavern on 01481 750050.

We look forward to welcoming you ashore in the near future,

Best wishes
