Single Mums Will Work Sooner
Single parents will have to go back to work when their youngest child reaches 7 years old. That's the aim of Guernsey's Social Security Minister - who spoke to us following recent media coverage focusing on the financial help given to one local single mum. Although he couldn't comment on the individual case, Deputy Mark Dorey says in future no mum will have any excuse not to look for work when their kids are at school. (taken from c&w website)

exactly kat, no-one thinks of all these things though, you`ll soon see rows of latch key kids , and kids hanging around the streets, then single mums will get reported for neglect, then theres the childrens board who will moan and complain about kids being left to their own devices!
