Kerbside glass collection is trialled in St Helier
Homes in St Helier in Jersey are to get kerbside glass collection.
The St Helier parish authorities have visited Eastleigh in Hampshire, which offers a monthly collection, and say they think they can offer a similar service in the island.
It is being trialled in part of the parish, with plans to extend it across the whole of St Helier.
Each home that signs up to the scheme will be given a blue plastic box to store their glass in.
Collections for homes signed up to the pilot will begin in January.
