Sark Folk Festival line-up announced

Organisers of the Sark Folk Festival have announced their lineup for the festival later this year.

The eight acts confirmed so far include Kathryn Robert and Sean Lakeman, Spiral Earth's Best Live Act 2011 3 Daft Monkeys, six-woman folk and bluegrass group The Shee and from Western Australia, BAFTA-winning singer-songwriter, Emily Barker.

One of the most popular acts from last year's festival, Hat Fitz and Cara Robinson will be returning to the island for a Folkal Point performance on 9th June. Folkal Points are a series of events held throughout the year to raise funds for the festival itself.

The next Folkal Point will be a Cilidh at St Martin's Parish hall on Saturday 25th February.

Weekend tickets for the Sark Folk Festival, which is in its third year, sold out before any acts had been announced.

The Festival takes place from 29th June to 1st July.
