Road Safety Week Launched Empty Road Safety Week Launched

Islanders are getting a lesson in road safety this week.

Jersey's Road Safety Panel's launching it's campaign aimed at cutting down the amount of accidents on our roads.

Each day they'll be highlighting a different area - from motorbike riding to taking care as a pedestrian.

Each Year 11 class is seeing a play called 'Too Much Punch For Judy' that tells the true story of two sisters who went out drinking, with one of them driving home and killing the other. A workshop after will discuss the issues surrounding it.

As part of the week 10 islanders are also taking part in a driving challenge on Saturday.

They'll be going out with examiners to see just how good they are behind the wheel, with a prize for the winner.

If you would like to take part should contact Road Safety Officer Philip Blake on 612222 or p.blake@jersey.pnn.police.uk
