Passengers could face fare hikes
Airline passengers are set to face fare increases after a European Court ruling today.
It comes from a case against Ryanair after the volcanic ash cloud which caused huge disruption in 2010.
The ash cloud cost plane companies around a billion pounds but it caused chaos for passengers.
But today islanders are frustrated and worried because fog is such an issue living on an island.
Easyjet released a statement saying, "We will always endeavour to provide care for its passengers wherever possible which includes meal vouchers, accommodation and transport between the accommodation and the airport."
Although the Channel Islands are outside the EU, the impact of the ruling will affect airlines who fly here, so may well all end up having to pay the price for extraordinary acts of nature
