Future of former Boys' Grammar School discussed
The site closed in the 1980s after the mixed Grammar School was opened
The public have been asked for their views on replacing the former Boys' Grammar School in Brock Road with a mixture of 40 or 50 flats and houses.
The Environment Department has prepared a draft development brief for the site in St Peter Port.
It said any plans should include the retention of the original 19th Century intermediate school and the boundary walls and railings.
Development is due to start when the buildings have been vacated in 2011.
Copies of the brief are available on the States of Guernsey website and any comments have to be received by Tuesday 2 November 2010.
Is it good to develop the site into housing?
What about the classrooms used for further education?

I think our Visit Guernsey Brochure will soon be forced to describe us as a 'Floating Housing Estate'
