Pricey school footpath only used by six pupils
It has emerged that as few as six pupils at a Guernsey school are using a pathway which has been created to help them walk there and was paid for with thousands of pounds from charity and a local business.
The pedestrian safety group Living Streets has attracted thousands of pounds in sponsorship to open the route which links St Peter Port with the Baubigny Schools.
Today it has been announced Marks And Spencer is pumping in £7,500 to cover the cost of renting land through a vinery in order to co-fund the footpath.
But some parents are still concerned about its safety, because it passes by Guernsey Prison. (from CTV)
Sorry, but I am sure M & S could think of a much worthier cause than wasting £7.5 on this...

This would be a good scheme if the education department didn't make it as awkward as possible.
