Four people in hospital with flu
THE number of people with flu-like illnesses seeing their doctor locally is on the increase, a surveillance programme has highlighted.
Four people were recently admitted to the Princess Elizabeth Hospital with more severe symptoms.
And Health and Social Services is advising islanders in the at risk group, who have not been vaccinated, to make an appointment with their surgery to get it done.
Speaking on behalf of the British Medical Association, Dr Brian Parkin (pictured) said that number of admissions was not particularly unusual for this time of year (from GEP)
