Break-in at Clairval is shock to people living there

A BURGLARY on a usually quiet estate has shocked people living there.

Between 11.30am and just before 5pm on Saturday, a home at Clairval Estate, Collings Road, was entered while the owners were out. Money and other small items were taken.

Clairval resident Sheila Le Maitre, 70, said she was stunned.

‘You don’t hear anything like that going on around here at all,’ she said. ‘I’m surprised.’

But she added she never left her home without locking the windows and doors, even if she was just going down the road to the shop.

Seems a little odd to me why this particular house was "done" and not others ...
