Le Lievre's to close in Guernsey?

It seems that the Fuller group have applied for planning permission for a restaurant and offices for the Le Lievre's site.. looks like another family store could possibly be going...

Not many places left with in town to buy our pots and pans
how many more food outlets are we going to have here .Are we becoming an island a fast food outlets

what we need are some decent retail shops..there are enough cafes etc in town at the moment x

not shops we need it is the money to buy the stuff x
I only have a ceartain amout of income to spend .this has to be spent to the best of my ability so i only buy what i need no what i would like .
i did not use the shop much as it is not every day you have to replace these items .but they did at time have some very good bargains in thee .
i also brought a few Presents from there over the years
the bast thing about this shop is..they think of the community as they decorate the outside with floral for the summer adding to the way our town looks and encouraging folks to come into town to see any floral ..shame all shops dont do this ..they did in the 90s and it was a good visitors attraction.
