Sailings relocated for another week Empty Sailings relocated for another week

Condor Ferries is relocating its UK-bound sailing from Weymouth to Poole for at least one more week.

The company raised concerns about the safety of the ferry berth at Weymouth port.

It means all sailings between Guernsey and Jersey and the UK will dock solely at Poole until Monday 27 February.

Investigations are now being carried out, after talks with Weymouth & Portland Borough Council about the structural integrity of part of the ferry berth.

Condor says it's contacting passengers affected by the change of port.

Captain Fran Collins, Operations Director at Condor Ferries, said: "The safety of our passengers and crew remains our highest priority. We have taken the decision to move all sailings to Poole for a further week to give our customers as much notice as possible while investigations are undertaken into the condition of the berth in Weymouth. This will help to minimise disruption and allow us to continue to sustain our lifeline ferry services between the Channel Islands and the UK."
