Flights delayed due to radar interruption
There are significant delays to flights in and around Channel Islands airspace due to an interruption to radar services at Jersey Airport.
Jersey's air traffic services have set up a contingency facility, which will allow some flights to operate to reduced schedules.
Some inter-island flights are continuing to operate.
Guernsey Air Traffic Control will continue to handle services in and around its own airspace, but there are delays there too.
Services are unlikely to return to normal until later this evening but anyone due to travel today is advised to check-in as usual.

Re: Flights delayed due to radar interruption
'interuption to radar services' , strange phrase, wonder what that means exactly. Breakdown, staff strike, sabotage, maintenance or what ?

Jersey Airport launch internal investigation
Jersey Airport have launched an internal investigation into the radar disruption on Monday afternoon.
Just after 4pm the airport experienced a full loss of radar data, causing disruption to movements in and around the Channel Islands Controled Zone.
A contingency facility in the north of the island was established, allowing a reduced amount of flights to continue operating.
Although radar services in Guernsey remained intact, some flights in and out of the Bailiwick were also affected.
Services in Jersey were restored by 6.15pm, and the airport remained open late on Monday evening to clear the backlog.
Some 40 commercial and general aviation flights were affected by the incident but despite delays no commercial flights were cancelled.
