Oh for God's sake, there is no point in trying to have a logical discussion with you.

Re: Ministers propose their boards
Very true folks, except Thistle does not seem to think I have any right to voice my thoughts about Guernsey. I try to give an outsiders view of events in Guernsey, based on my frequent visits and conversations with Guernsey people I have known for years.
Hopefully some people appreciate my interest, even if Thistle doesn't.

Re: Ministers propose their boards
I'd like to hear your views on the politics in Australia right now - the PM and her 'Merry Men' are worse than anything I've known - certainly in England or Guernsey

Re: Ministers propose their boards
I'm afraid I'm not up to speed on the current situation down under, so can't really offer any useful comment. It can't be that bad surely. Which part do you live in. I have friends in Brisbane who used to keep me informed, but I've not heard from them for a long time now.

and also good to know how a visitor see our island and if we can answer a question all the better .

Re: Ministers propose their boards
Been having a look at this morning's Australian papers Karma. Must confess that at first sight they don't make very happy reading.
Your PM sounds like a green liberal, is that the case ?

Argument, discussion, debate whatever, that's fine. But at times Thistle I feel your comments do get a bit acrimonious and personal.

The truth is a lot worse KC - she needs the Greens to stay in as she has a majority of one!!! So they are virtually pulling her strings.- the Speaker is under suspicion of making sexual suggestions to his 'male personal secretary' and worse still using his parliamentary credit card for jaunts and holidays.....she stood by him because she needs him! then as though that's not bad enough the minister for unions (who also have too much power) used his Credit Card to procure prostitutes (allegedly) and has been being investigated for 3 years!!! now she has reluctantly asked him to step down while the police conduct an investigation! All that and more - and come July the1st we will be slugged with the biggest carbon tax in the world (the Green leader who suggested this has now stepped down)!!! so unfortunately you have as PM with 1 vote lead two - which are unlikely to be used if there is an election - unfortunately she made herself unbelievable by pushing the last PM out with a challenge and telling the Australians there would never be a Carbon Tax under a Government she was head of and within days had been persuaded by the Greens to bring it in.....prices so high as to become unreal and a country which is selling large amounts of arable land off to China and the Emirates and anyone else who wants a slice!! she is now known as Ju-liar Gillard! and worse still, nobody wants Tony abbot who is the Liberal contender! This is in a precise, but the whole story is much more unsavoury ....... 4 years ago this country was 'in credit' and it is now borrowing so much it is eye watering.....

A green socialist, is she ? That's even worse. Is she the one that's been raving on about dumping the Queen ?

Re: Ministers propose their boards
The very same! and she is an atheist who lives with her partner and has the gall to say she will not sanction gay marriage!! can't really make up my mind why not, as she had a gay relationship when she was at uni!!! talk about double standards!!! So be content with the peccadilloes England and Guernsey display - it could be worse!!!!

Re: Ministers propose their boards
What ? Scotland ?
No No just joking ! I've always thought the Welsh were generally pretty miserable, but not nuts as well.
When is the next election due ?
