Thousands oppose plans for flats near La Collette
THOUSANDS of Islanders have signed a petition calling for plans for a multi-million-pound development near La Collette to be scrapped.
Vicky Boarder and Louis Jackson, co-owners of the Fresh Fish Company, which is based at the Victoria Pier, have released a video clip to drum up support for their petition, lobbying the Planning Department to reject proposals to build 18 flats, a restaurant and a maritime centre at the foot of Mount Bingham.
Meanwhile, the developers have defended the plans and said that the scheme is not about 'greed'
