On-the-spot fines for litter? Empty On-the-spot fines for litter?

ON-THE-SPOT fines could be introduced in a new zero-tolerance approach to littering, according to a report out today.
The report says that no littering fines have been given ‘in living memory’ and that it should be a higher priority for the police.

The report also proposes fixed-penalty fines for dog fouling. (from JEP)

Brilliant idea the Islands should have done this years ago...

We as a floral group are pushing this forwards for Guernsey
Deputy Martin Storey is looking into the laws on this and we hope to get it changed asap
the sooner those who toss fag and and other rubbish onto our streets get fined the better for us all
it will keep our streets cleaner and give us more monies into the coffers this can be spent else where on keeping the loo,s open for a start
